HANDMADE GROUNDING LEATHER SHOES
Grounding & Earthing Barefoot Boat Shoes for Men
Rubber soles cut the connection your skin had with the ground. A solid copper rivet runs earth to foot, carrying free electrons with every step. Hand-stitched leather — and every pair is tested before it ships.
- Copper plug | Real conductor through the sole
- Zero-drop, wide toe | Flat heel-to-toe with room to splay
- Full-grain leather | Top layer of the hide, breathable; it doesn't peel
- Grounds anywhere natural | Grass, sand, soil and unsealed concrete conduct
- Handcrafted | Cut, stitched and bench-tested by a person, then signed off
Free standard shipping on every US order — your tested pair arrives at no extra cost.

The Earth's surface holds a near-limitless supply of free electrons. Bare skin on the ground once let them flow into us — until insulating rubber soles broke the loop. Free radicals, the unstable molecules behind inflammation and poor sleep, are simply missing an electron; the ground donates exactly that.
We recommend ordering your true size. The wide toe box gives your feet natural splay — if you're between sizes, go up. Break-in period is 1–2 weeks of regular wear. For wide feet: fits true to size. For narrow feet: consider half a size down.
Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Allow to air dry away from direct heat. Do not machine wash or submerge. Condition the leather every 2–3 months with a natural beeswax balm to maintain suppleness. The copper rivet requires no maintenance — it stays conductive for the life of the shoe.
The Mechanism
The Physics of Earth Connection

A zero-resistance path runs through this pair, ground to skin — and up it travels the Earth's free electrons. Insulated soles cut you off; copper reconnects you, neutralizing the radicals behind inflammation.
- Solid copper conductorRubber and foam strand you above ground. A real copper path runs sole to skin.
- Antioxidant on tapA pill runs out; the Earth doesn't. Every step tops you up against oxidative stress.
- The connection you evolved withBare skin on soil was the default for millions of years. Soles cut it; these restore it.
- Grounds on any living surfaceGrass, soil, sand, stone, unsealed concrete close the circuit. Sealed floors break it.
SEEN UNDER INSTRUMENTS
The physics, caught on camera
Thermal
Infrared sees heat, and heat is the signature of inflammation. The 'Before' map runs hot red and white where tissue is inflamed; grounded, the 'After' cools and evens out. It's the free-radical mechanism made visible — the same inflammation behind end-of-day aches.

Darkfield
Darkfield microscopy shows live, unstained blood. 'Before,' cells stack like glued coins — rouleaux, sluggish and oxygen-poor. Two hours grounded, the 'After' shows them separated and drifting free. This is Sinatra's viscosity finding: grounding thins the blood, measurably.

LED Test
A continuity tester lights the LED only if current finds a path to your foot. Ordinary rubber soles block it; a copper rivet through our sole completes the circuit. It's the 0.0Ω reading from this unit's test card — and every pair is LED-tested by hand before it's boxed.

WHAT YOUR BODY READS
What the Instruments Measured, You Feel
Deep Sleep
A rubber sole props cortisol high — that wired-but-exhausted feeling. The copper rivet closes the circuit, easing it to its natural night-low.
Foot anatomy — 02
Drag to uncage your foot
← drag · same foot, two boxes →
Your foot is 26 bones and 33 joints, built to splay, grip and flex on every step. A normal shoe overrides all of it — a tapered toe box wedges your toes inward, a raised heel tips you forward, a stiff sole locks the foot still. Wear that for years and the foot adapts to the cage: toes drift together, the arch weakens, balance and natural gait fade. Drag the bar — same foot, only the box changes.

CUT, STITCHED, SIGNED
Made by Hand — Which Is Why the Proof Holds
Every pair is built by one maker — hide selected, leather cut and stitched, copper rivet set, then bench-tested before it ships. Handmade isn't a luxury; it's the only way to build a shoe you can prove.
- Vegetable-tanned full-grainBark-tanned, top layer intact, so it breathes, moulds to you, and ages into patina, not cracking.
- Solid copper grounding rivetThe conductor, not décor — it closes the earth-to-foot circuit your card's LED and 0.0Ω test measured.
- Small-batch, accountableOne maker hand-picks every hide and conductivity-tests every sole, name attached. A fast line can't.
- Stitched, not gluedStitched seams flex, re-stitch, and resole for years. Glued construction delaminates and dies. Built to keep.
WHAT WEARERS REPORT
The science holds up. So do the people.
Self-reported by daily wearers — and it lines up with what the instruments showed you on this page. The science predicted it. The people felt it.

Four skeptics who became daily wearers — each came for a different reason, each tracked the difference over weeks of real wear. The numbers below are theirs, not ours.
Case Study No. 01
"I bought them for the leather and treated grounding as a bonus. Then the test card arrived with this pair's serial — LED lit through the sole, resistance as promised. The part I doubted is the part they proved."

PEER-REVIEWED EVIDENCE
The Science Is On Our Side
They felt it — here's the documented reason. Two decades of controlled studies, indexed by the US National Library of Medicine: grounding lowers inflammation and cortisol, deepens sleep, thins blood. Five papers below. Don't take our word — take theirs.
Reduced Inflammation & Pain
FINDING — INFLAMMATION & WBC
Oschman's grounded subjects showed fewer white blood cells and cytokines — absorbed electrons neutralise the radicals driving inflammation. The case for 'Less Inflammation.'
Improved Sleep & Cortisol Regulation
FINDING — CORTISOL & SLEEP
Cortisol should peak at dawn and fall by night; modern life keeps it high. Grounded sleepers pulled it back — deeper sleep, less pain. The science under 'Better Sleep.'
Natural Anti-Inflammatory Effect
FINDING — ELECTRON ANTIOXIDANT
Sinatra and Oschman: Earth's electrons act as antioxidants on contact — no dose, no cost. Rubber soles block it; our copper rivet restores it, reading 0.0Ω on the card.
Full-Body Healing & Recovery
FINDING — SYSTEMIC RECOVERY
Koniver treats the body as one conductive system: grounding normalises hormones, steadies blood sugar, deepens sleep and cuts inflammation everywhere. 'Better all over.'
20+ Studies: Significant Physiological Improvements
FINDING — 20+ STUDY REVIEW
Sinatra, Chevalier and Oschman pooled 20+ controlled studies. Grounded vs not, the pattern held: less inflammation, pain and stress; better blood flow, energy, sleep.

STILL DECIDING
The questions a skeptic still asks
You've seen the test card, watched the instruments, and read the papers. A few honest doubts usually remain — here are the straight answers.
Grounding — or earthing — is conductive contact between your body and the Earth's surface, a near-limitless reservoir of free electrons. Bare feet on soil once kept us topped up; rubber soles severed that. Those electrons neutralise free radicals, the molecules behind oxidative stress and chronic inflammation — the mechanism in the papers you read (PMID: 22291721).
A solid copper rivet runs through the sole, from under your foot to the ground. The moment the outsole meets grass, soil, or unsealed concrete, the circuit closes and electrons travel up into you.
You don't take it on faith. Every pair is bench-tested: our LED lights through the EC sole and stays dark through rubber. That's the 0.0Ω reading on this unit's test card.
Because we measured yours — the shoe in your cart, not the model. Every pair crosses the bench: LED continuity confirmed, resistance recorded (a clean path reads 0.0Ω), hide grade logged, then serial-matched and signed. That's the Unit Test Card in your box.
A mass line can't stop to test every unit. We can — these are made by hand, and the hand that stitches signs the card.
A normal shoe gets three things wrong on purpose. Its rubber sole insulates — ours runs copper that keeps the circuit live. Its tapered toe box squeezes the foot — ours is wide and zero-drop. It's glued synthetic that delaminates — ours is hand-stitched full-grain leather.
Grounded, not insulated. Anatomic, not tapered. Built by hand. You watched each proven above.
Then send them back. You get a 30-day risk-free trial: wear them, ground in them, and if they're not for you, return them in original condition for a full refund. We cover US return shipping. The risk is ours.
We don't ask you to believe — we test every pair, build each by hand, and the science is on our side. Want more? Read the complete science.
